In March, the emPLANT+ Master’s program had the honor of welcoming Professor Antonio Augusto Franco Garcia for the 10th time at UniLaSalle!

To celebrate this milestone and show their appreciation for his valuable contributions, the students organized a small celebration with cake and candles.

Every year, Professor Franco Garcia from ESALQ University in Brazil shares his expertise in Quantitative Genetics with our students.

EmPLANT+ is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master of Excellence in the field of plant breeding, offered by a consortium of 6 European universities : ULS (France), SLU (Sweden), MATE(Hungary), BOKU (Austria), UMIL (Italy) and UPV (Spain).

This multidisciplinary program offers an international approach to plant breeding, combining the strengths of universities with expertise in traditional and modern breeding techniques, biotechnology, bioinformatics, and seed science. Students benefit from exposure to a rich diversity of academic and practical knowledge across various climatic regions, creating a globally relevant educational experience.
