Ege University campus is centrally located in Bornova, Izmir and is easily accessible from all parts of Izmir.
Ege University has 13 Faculties, 3 Graduate Schools, 6 four-year Schools, 5 Institutes, 7 two-year Vocational Training Schools and 27 Research and Application Centers.
There is a big shopping center near where students can do shopping and find all sorts of products and services they need. On campus, there are two central dining halls. There is also 1 restaurant, 8 cafeterias and 6 canteens that offer varied menus. The university is equipped with various sports facilities and participates in all branches of interuniversity sports activities. Ege University also offers students, academic and administrative staff social and cultural activities throughout the year. Every year in May, the university organizes a traditional spring festival consisting of concerts, sports games, cinema and theater presentations, a sales stand, scientific meetings … with national students and foreign countries. Accommodation in Student Village
The Student Village can host 1776 national and international students in 12 separate buildings for male and female students. These buildings are equipped with common areas such as self-cook kitchens.
There are two room choices: single room with private WC and shower (deposit fee: 1600TL, monthly payment 800TL) and 1 person in double room with private WC and shower (deposit fee 1000TL, monthly payment 470 TL). All rooms furnish bedding. Meals are not included in the fee but there are canteens where students can eat breakfast and other meals for a nominal cost.
There are TV/social lounges, study lounges, self-service laundry and ironing rooms, and game and visitors’ areas. Central heating and 24-hour continuous hot water are standard in all the buildings.
In the campus is also the health services of the University of Ege which are provided by the Directorate General of Health, Culture and Sport in its modern health center. A full range of medical and dental services is offered to students, academic and administrative staff. In case of serious illness, patients are transferred to the University Hospital or the Faculty of Dentistry.
Downtown transportation to and from the campus is provided by city buses and the metro.
The student ticket is reduced to 50 cents for in-city public transportation.
