It has been 2 years since the adventure of the first emPLANT intake (Erasmus Mundus Master Program in Plant Breeding) began. They were 23 students of 17 different nationalities to meet for the first time at UniLaSalle just 2 years ago. They have since studied in 2 different European higher education institutions and have had the opportunity to experience various cultures. Culture in the social and cosmopolitan sense of the term but also culture in the scientific sense of the term since we must not forget that it is above all a program that deals with plant breeding.
To mark the end of this first emPLANT cohort, on August 27, 2020 at UniLaSalle took place an official closing ceremony to say good bye and good luck for their new adventure in life.
This event was coupled with the reception of the new class of emPLANT master’s degree, intake number 3. There will be 35 students of 22 different nationalities to join the master’s program for 2020-2022 and to dispatche in the 5 universities of the emPLANT consortium during the course of their 2 years of study.
This ceremony is therefore also an opportunity to welcome them and to mark the starting point of their European adventure.
Due to the pandemic currently affecting our planet, all students in class 1 and class 3 of the emPLANT master was not able to be present on D-day at UniLaSalle. This is why this official ceremony has been broadcast via Facebook Live on the official Facebook page of the master emPLANT (Erasmus Mundus Master Program in Plant Breeding).
